History

Sjan is a viera from the Mirka tribe of Golmore. As a gleaner of botanical knowledge for his tribe, he's often busy deep into the forest. He has been living alone in the Twelveswood for a few years, studying plant life as a botanist, and practicing alchemy. Specifically, he deals with carrion and herbivorous plants, as well as fungi. With his knowledge, he practices making poisons, antidotes, and medicines of varying potencies.During his time in the Shroud, he's consulted with the Conjurer's Guild, and Botanist's Guild of Gridania, and has worked with the Twin Adders in the Twelveswood.
Appearance
Sjan stands just slightly above average height. His big eyes are a light, cloudy jade framed by thick lashes and full brows. His lips are full and round, and freckles speckle across his cheeks and nose, and are scattered throughout his body as well. His thick, chestnut hair is shorter in the front than it is in the back, and has streaks of sunlit caramel that match the tufts at the ends of his long ears and his short, fluffy tail.Sjan's attire is usually light leathers, with boots for wading in muck, half-gloves, a scarf around his neck, and leaves or miscellaneous foliage in his hair. Usually, his clothing is dark in the deepest colors of the earth for camouflage, but it varies. If he is in light colored clothing, it is meant to be seen, and certainly means business. He is always wearing miscellaneous belts with bags that hang to either side of his hips, always prepared for most situations... except the rain. Somehow, he's always getting caught in the rain.
RP Hooks
Forest Cryptid: Sjan is always gathering in the forest. This is easily the best place to find him, especially by hunters, gatherers, or anyone passing through. Typically, he's seen in the more dangerous parts of the forest where fungus, carrion plants, and carnivorous flora thrive.
Easily Startled: If he's startled, he'll book it until he feels safe. Can you keep up with him?
Medic: There is a green cross on his largest bag, denoting him as a mender, should anyone be in need of healing.
Almost Anything! I'm open to ideas! Sjan is a whimsical character with elusive tendencies. I'm happy to plot out long or short scenes, and work with all types of characters!

I don't really like to do Discord RP, I am happy to exchange Discord information upon request.I'm a bit shy to approach first for roleplay at times, but do welcome any and all messages. If I'm out in the world, I'm usually OOC, but can easily go IC, just message me and we can set up a scene!
I distinctly separate IC and OOC. I encourage open and honest communication to avoid any misunderstandings. While Sjan may be mean in some situations or act hostile or indifferent, I am not my character and am always down to pause and make sure we're still headed in the right direction.
I understand that some characters struggle with acceptance of certain things, but I will not interact with characters or muns who use slurs of any kind, or think it is okay to alienate others on account of their sexuality, gender identity, race, or abilities. Respect is very important to me.
There's a viera fanon tumblr going around whose contents are harmful, crude and racist representations of indigenous cultures, and I will not subscribe to that or acknowledge it as canon. Please be aware of that if you've chosen to use that in your personal canons that I do not want to interact.
Sjan is a young adult character with likewise antics. He may be foul mouthed, portray alcohol and drug usage, moderate violence, and deal with other NSFW themes. Because of this, I ask that those who roleplay with me be over 18 as well, please.
I'm fairly new to the game and Final Fantasy universe, but will do my best to abide by established lore and remain flexible. Please bear with me and gently let me know if I make any mistakes. I am an eager learner.
